New office and commercial development in Düsseldorf’s Friedrichstadt district

Standing before the retained period façade, Mayor of Düsseldorf, Thomas Geisel, Art-Invest partner, Arne Hilbert, artist Jan Albers and sop’s Wolfgang Marcour today laid the foundation stone for the new Fürst & Friedrich building set to take shape opposite the popular Kirchplatz in Dusseldorf city centre.

The clean lines and pared down architecture of this striking office and commercial development, due for completion in summer 2019, places the existing classical frontage at the centre of the project, creating a richly contrasting association of old and new. Measuring some 16,900m² and comprising flexible, modular office space and exterior terraces, the structure will be home to tenants including co-working space provider Design Offices as well as providing a lounge and restaurant units to serve both building users and the general public.
