New timber-hybrid three-court sports hall completed in Eppelheim
After just under 13 months of construction, the new Dr. Hans-Peter Wild Sports Hall in Eppelheim has been handed over to the client by ZECH Sports. Built using a timber-hybrid construction method, the three-court sports hall for school and club sports is located on the site of the former Rhein-Neckar Hall and features spectator seating, gymnastics rooms, and an inviting, spacious foyer with a café and outdoor terrace that can also be used for events.
In the ten-meter-high, daylight-filled hall, which can be flexibly used by several groups at the same time, the open timber structure of the roof is impressively visible. The entire sports facility is supplied with energy by a large-scale photovoltaic system installed across the entire roof.
