Foundation stone laid at RWTH Aachen Campus
The foundation stone for the second construction phase of the Biomedical Engineering Cluster was laid today, on the Melaten Campus of RWTH Aachen University, in the presence of the investor Unternehmensgruppe Frauenrath, the RWTH Aachen Campus GmbH, the RWTH Aachen University, the RWTH Aachen University Hospital and numerous specialist planners. The highly flexible new teaching and training buildings will be constructed next to the prestigious existing CT² building. The new design consists of two interconnected structures, one 100 metre long four-storey block and one seven-storey cube, which will house an innovation centre for digital medicine and a new training academy for midwives and nurses.
