Recognition for the new trade fair grounds Neue Messe Essen
The revitalization and modernization of the “Messe Essen” trade fair grounds with its new, transparent foyer received a recognition from the jury of the Essen Architecture Award, which was awarded for the first time. The reason cited by the jury is that “the new, fully glazed foyer building is a successful start to the gradual restructuring of the halls. It wraps around an existing hall on two sides and meets the urban space with its projecting roof. "
The project „Neue Messe Essen”, which includes a spacious, contemporary halls, improved logistics and an urban integration of the trade fair with a prominent, inviting entrance area, was the result of an international design competition and completed in 2019.
