International chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli is building a new landmark headquarters in Aachen. The new building complex, designed to be CO2-neutral, will include an administration building and a new factory sales area with an adjacent multi-storey car park.
The square central building, with its contrasting light parapet walls, dark windows and large inner courtyard, will provide space for around 300 employees. It will include flexible office spaces, conference rooms, laboratories, a lobby, a cafeteria and other recreational areas to encourage interaction and communication between employees.
The 130-metre-long factory building, which will also house the factory outlet and car park, will have an eye-catching burnished brass sheet metal facade that will be visible from afar. The colour scheme of the striking building will be subtly reminiscent of the chocolate maker's traditional product range.
A wide forecourt with green islands, trees and seating areas will frame the entrance to the new climate-friendly and future-oriented building complex facing Aachen's city centre.
