Samsung’s New Neighbor at Eschborn Gate
The first construction phase of Eschborn Gate, the new commercial district on the outskirts of Frankfurt am Main, includes not only the 17-story German headquarters of Samsung Electronics, but also the 6-story HUB, which is now being occupied by marketing company Cheil Germany. The transparent building, featuring a lightweight metal-panel façade, is situated directly adjacent to the expansive central plaza, which offers space for restaurants and small service providers.
In total, Eschborn Gate comprises approximately 50,000 m² and consists of multiple buildings, including a parking garage and an underground car park, all set within a generously landscaped, green campus environment. The entire district is targeting both LEED certification and WiredScore certification.
In some parts of the development, hollow-core slabs are used to significantly reduce concrete consumption, contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and more resource-efficient construction.
