Illuminated stele evokes past of historic building
From today visitors will find an illuminated, Corten steel information panel at the entrance to the Andreas Quartier, providing a reminder of the eventful history of the law courts that were located on the site of the current Andreas Quartier until 2009. Designed by sop architekten and featuring a text written by Dusseldorf’s Memorials Department, it was unveiled in the presence of City Mayor Thomas Geisel, Borough Mayor Marina Spillner, Frankonia Eurobau Divisional Head Benno Maubach, Director of Dusseldorf’s Memorial Sites Dr Bastian Fleermann, President of the Düsseldorfer Jonges heritage society Wolfgang Rolshoven, representatives of the Jewish community and numerous other guests.
