By signing the German Architects’ Climate and Biodiversity Declaration sop architekten have made their position on climate change official and put their names to an international campaign that aims to bring about a paradigm shift in the construction industry.
It is designed not only to raise awareness and change attitudes but also to draw attention to sustainable forms of building including the use of renewable materials with methods such as wood-based hybrid construction; making resource and energy savings through the redevelopment of existing buildings and the implementation of sustainable building certification systems.
